
It is with great sadness, our friend and colleague
Ralph “Gonz” Gonzales
passed away on Tuesday, 2/16/21. Ralph has been with our Arizona PTAC since January of 2020. Ralph leaves behind a son, daughter and 2 grandchildren. Ralph was a kind, generous and positive man who loved working with people. He was dedicated in helping small business owners and was a great community teammate. For those who knew Ralph, he was an avid golfer. He was an enthusiastic member of our team and passionate about his work. He will be greatly missed.
]]>The agency on Aug. 31 published a solicitation for “entity validation services” for its System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and Integrated Award Environment for commercial, nonprofit and government entities.
A pre-proposal webinar will be held on Sept. 10. Questions may be submitted by Sept. 19 and bids are due Oct. 1.
The government has used Dun & Bradstreet’s Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) to identify federal contractors since 1994. The current DUNS contract is expiring this year.
However, advocates of transparency have been urging the government to adopt open source standards that make it easier to store and share data, and to avoid proprietary systems.
GSA previously issued two requests for information about the upcoming procurement. The new contract will have a base period of one year with four additional one-year options.
